Happy Valentine's Day written in cursive white lettering on a heart cutoutAs you prepare to write out Valentine’s Day cards this year, please remember those who have sacrificed so much for our country and make a few extra valentines for U.S. veterans and troops. If you are interested in sending valentines to U.S. veterans or troops, there are several options to make spreading the love easy!

Option 1: You can make valentines and drop them off or mail them to the Veterans Medical center nearest to you. If you don’t know where your local VA center is, click here.

Option 2: Visit:

On the left side of the page is a list of soldiers who have requested letters and care packages. By clicking on the arrow, you can sort the list by parameters including service branch and location from which the unit was deployed. When you click on a soldier’s name, a new window will appear. Complete the form in the new window and the soldier’s address will be emailed to you.

Option 3: Participate in The National Salute to Veteran Patients Program. The National Salute takes place during the week of February 14th where the VA invites all people to participate in a variety of activities at VA medical centers. The activities and events include ward visits and valentine distributions and so much more! Click here to learn more.

Valentines Day is a time to celebrate those you love and some of that love may serve some of those who have served for you. We hope that you will take a few minutes to give to those who have given so much for our country.
